Jesus asked, “What think ye of Christ?” (Matthew 22:42). So we may ask, who is Jesus?

Jesus is our “Advocate” (I John 2:1), “Apostle and High Priest of our profession” (Hebrews 3:1), and “Author and finisher of our faith” (Hebrews 12:2). He is the “Beginning” (Colossians 1:18), the “Beloved” (Ephesians 1:6) and the “brother of James, Joses, Judas and Simon” (Mark 6:3). He is a “Carpenter” (Mark 6:3), “Carpenter’s son” (Matthew 13:55), the stone made “the head of the corner” (Matthew 21:42), and the “Chief Shepherd” (I Peter 5:4).

Jesus is the “Christ” (Matthew 1:16), the “Christ of God” (Luke 9:20), and the Coming one (Matthew 11:3). He is the “Deliverer” (Romans 11:26), “of the seed of
David” (2 Timothy 2:8), the “Door of the sheep” (John 10:7), the “Firstborn among many brethren” (Romans 8:29), “Firstborn from the dead,” (Colossians 1:18), the
“First begotten of the dead” (Revelation 1:5), and the “Firstfruits of them that slept” (I Corinthians 15:20).

Jesus, that “Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory” (James 2:1) is the “Good Shepherd” (John 10:11), “Good Master” (Luke 18:18), “Great High Priest” (Hebrews 4:14), and “that great shepherd of the sheep” (Hebrews 13:20). The “surety of a better testament” (Hebrews 7:22) is the “Head of every man” (I Corinthians 11:3), and the church (Ephesians 5:23), and “Heir of all things” (Hebrews 1:2).

Jesus, the “High Priest, after the order of Melchizedek” (Hebrews 5:10), is the “Holy One and the Just” (Acts 3:14), the “Holy one of God” (Mark 1:24), and the “Holy child Jesus” (Acts 4:27). Jesus is the “image of the invisible God’ (Colossians 1:15), and “Immanuel” (Matthew 1:23).

“Jesus Christ the Righteous” (I John 2:1) is the “Jesus of Nazareth” (Matthew 26:71), “Jesus of Galilee” (Matthew 26:69), and the “Jesus of Nazareth” (Mark 10:47).
