Who is Jesus? #2

The Bible is clear about “Joseph’s son” (Luke 4:22) identity. He is the “Judge of quick and dead” (Acts 10:42). Jesus is “King” (John 18:37) —— the “King of Israel” (Matthew 27:42), “King of the Jews” (Matthew 2:2), and “King of Kings” (Revelation 19:16).

Jesus, the “Lamb of God” (John 1:29) and “Last Adam” (I Corinthians 15:45) is our “quickening spirit” (I Corinthians 15:45) and the “light of men” (John 1:4). He is
the “Light of the world.” (John 8:12), the “Lion from the tribe of Judah” (Revelation 5:5), “Living bread” (John 6:51) and “the living” (Luke 24:5).

Jesus is “Lord” (Acts 2:36), “Lord of all” (Acts 10:36), “Lord both of the dead and of the living” (Romans 14:9), the “Lord of Glory” (I Corinthians 2:8), “Lord of
Lords,” (Revelation 19:16), “Lord of the Sabbath” (Matthew 12:8), and the “Lord’s Christ” (Luke 2:26). He is “Man” (I Timothy 2:5), “Master” (Luke 5:5), “Mediator
of a better covenant” (Hebrews 8:6), “Messiah” (John 1:41), and “Minister of the sanctuary and of the true tabernacle” (Hebrews 8:2).

Jesus’ relationship to the Father is described. He is “My beloved” (Matthew 12:18), “My beloved Son” (Matthew 3:17), “My servant” (Matthew 12:18), and “My
Son” (Matthew 2:15). He is the “Nazarene” (Matthew 2:23), “Only begotten Son” (John 1:18), “Only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ” (Jude 4), “Our great God
and Savior, Jesus Christ” (Titus 2:13) and “Our hope” (I Timothy 1:1).

Jesus is a “Prince and a Savior” (Acts 5:31), “Prince of Life” (Acts 3:15), “Prophet” (Matthew 21:11) and “Propitiation” (I John 2:2). He is described as “the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person” (Hebrews 1:3), the “Righteous Judge” (2 Timothy 4:8), “Just Man” (Matthew 27:19), and the “Just One” (Acts 7:52). He is the “Root and offspring of David” (Revelation 22:16), “Root of David” (Revelation 5:5) and “Root of Jesse” (Romans 15:12).

Jesus! “What think ye of Christ?” (Matthew 22:42).
